The aftermath of last night – boxing day

Wow! ThAt’s all I have to say about last night. What a great night. Suprisingly the village in whistler was dead! Plus our staff had a very merry Christmas and as result there was not a lot of time for us to sell tickets in the village. So we had our smallest crawl in months. Only 67 people. To be honest though it was a refreshingly chill party. The whole vibe was very intimate and it seemed everyone was having an awesome time. We also had less staff than usual, but again it was super chill.

It was the first time we hit up Elephant and Castle and it was so fun to go there. Big thanks to the mangement who showed us an awesome time. Great food, intimate venue, great time all around. If you were there please let us know what you thought. :)

I’m really proud of last night. I met some really great people and had the chance to let loose at the end of the night. Hahahahahahahahaha awesome!!!

Tasha was taking photos all night. I haven’t had the chance to check em, but i’m sure they’re great. Thanks to Quie, Tasha, Flo, Blake and Evelyne for being the awesome staff that you guys are.

Merry Christmas, happy holidays and happy new year.

Peace and one love

Nick

P.S.
Photos coming soon

I effing love this crawl and everyone on it :)

Posting From an Iphone

We’re going to try and get live iPhone posting on this crawl. We’ll see if it pans out and if it as efficient as I hope it to be. This is the first test hopefully tj
This will work out :)

Frozen Trailer and Awesome Day in Whistler

I saw this trailer for this movie Frozen. I’m not sure what to think. I don’t want to scare anyone, but I thought I’d share.

Just so you know, stuff like this doesn’t happen in Whistler. What does happen in Whistler is the movie below the trailer.

Enjoy!

What To Do In Whistler – December 19th Crawl

Group Shot in Bar Crawl

What to do, oh what to do… Well, I have a few ideas as to what it is you can do when you come to Whistler. Come on a freaking club crawl! The more the merrier, and god know we had a s#&$ load of people come to this one.

Over 130 people made it out on December 19th and it sure made for a wild one! We had people of all ages and everyone had an amazing time. Thank you for coming out, we enjoyed your company.

I love going to a venue and it being almost empty and then we just fill it up with over 100 people who are in the exact same boat. They just want to party, and that’s what we do.

Thanks To The Bars

Big shout out to all the bars and all the managers. At Cinnamon Bear, Marie, Tim and Robert. At GLC Mike and Derek. At Savage Beagle, Nicole and Lewie and over at Garf’s Dom and Mike. Without you guys this isn’t possible so thank you :)

Our Operations

We’re always working hard to make sure that you guys have the best crawls. Whether it be organizing the food in a better way, improving the speed in which we move people from bar to bar, fighting for better music, etc. Any recommendations you have will be heard. Ya heard?

Lineups

We’ve drastically improved the speed in which we get into Garfs at the end of the night. We’re so fast getting in there, it almost doesn’t seem possible. We’re also trying hard to get us into Beagle faster, but the coat-check is always slowing us down. 130 people checking their coat is slow. We did make it in more efficiently than last time, but props to the people at the end of the line for being so patient. I hope I made it up to you with the round of drinks and Tiger Woods jokes. Thanks again.

Food

We ordered so much food, for the first time we actually wasted some. That’s a good(ish) sign. I mean, wasting food isn’t good, but it’s good to know that everyone had enough.

Group Photo

One thing that we haven’t done since our first few crawls is a group photo! We tried to pull off a group photo this week, and it turned out, okay… The problem is that it’s dark. It’s also very cold outside and it’s hard to get everyone organized quickly. The summertime it’s much easier.

The Photos

Speaking of the photos. I have to give huge props to our new girl Tasha who’s had the camera this week and did a totally kick ass job. She’s a welcome member of the team and probably hooked a bunch of you guys up with some tickets. Thank you Tasha. Gnarly :)

Take a look at some of the photos Tasha snapped. You can see, we had a lot of people on this one.

Rock on peoples :)

Whistler Clubs and Bars and Party Party Party – Remembering December 12th, 2009

Big thank you to all of those who made it out on the 12th of December. What a night that was! Shall we do a recap? I think we shall… … … I think we shall!

Cinnamon Bear Bar and Grille

We started off at Cinnamon Bear, and when I first walked in an hour early to set up I noticed that there were a lot of people there who didn’t look like they were on the crawl. They were standing around the halls drinking coffee and chatting about travel deals or something like that. Well, it turns out that there was a convention of traveling salespeople that were having their convention right outside the bar that we start at. It made it a little bit crowded in the hallways to set up for the wristbands and what not, but we made due. My brother, who was visiting from Toronto, helped quite a bit setting up the place, it was awesome to have him there. Thanks Tony, you can see him in picture below with me on the far right.

Jamieson McKay Murray, Evelyne Jobin, Nick Field, Tony Field

One of the great things about having that convention there is that a lot of people from the convention were asking me “what’s this you’re setting up?” to which I replied; “it’s the club crawl. It’s the bomb diggity shizzznat.” If my vernacular didn’t scare them off, they purchased a ticket right then and there. Awesome!

In Cinnamon Bear we managed to feed everyone pretty well. Then on to the next one. Every time I say “On to the next one”, I think of this song (below (uncensored)). It would make a good ringtone.

GLC (Garabaldi Lift Co.)

It’s been a while! We used to start the club crawl in GLC in the summer, but the winter has created different circumstances that and we haven’t been able to go there lately. But we managed to trade up Brewhouse for GLC. Reason being, Brewhouse is a bit too tiny. We love it there, but we had over 100 people on this crawl and we didn’t want to go over capacity. Big thanks to Mike and Derek from Brewhouse, they’re the bomb digg, word to ya moms.

We managed to get everyone into GLC quite quickly. Not an easy task considering we have to check 2 pieces of everyone’s identification before they enter the bar. But luckily we had Mr. Andy Potter, possibly the world’s greatest doorman. Here’s a picture of Andy from another night a few weeks ago. Strapping young lad he is. Thanks again for the good work buddy!

Nick Field and Andy Potter

We made it inside and quickly got our drinks and partied it up. We had Blake and Nick organize an awesome powwow of people (let’s call it). I remember I thought I’d get a couple jugs of beer for some of the crawlers. When I asked for plastic cups, they replied. “Sorry, we only have glass cups…” I said; “oh”. Sure enough, 25 minutes later I heard a glass broke. Oh you silly kids!

The vibe in GLC was really great. I think everyone had a great time and everyone hopes that we can make it back there again in future crawls. Fingers crossed!

After GLC it was off to…

The Savage Beagle

Savage Beagle kicks bottom. We managed to get everyone over to the Beagle pretty fast, we did two groups and everyone came pretty quickly. Coats got checked pretty fast and everyone was partying pretty hard.

Downstairs in Savage beagle is where it really goes off. Every week we’re there we have a dance off and limbo competition. It’s probably the funniest thing you’ve ever seen. Everyone has been drinking for 3 hours plus, and have the confidence in the limbo. But nooooooooo! You can’t limbo well after 3 hours. Heh! That’s why we play it. Sadly, I don’t think we got any camera shots this week of the limbo. I blame Tyler. C’mon Tyler. What’s the deal yo? Tyler is one of guides, but he had the night off so he just partied. The camera was all over the place. Maybe I should blame Jamieson. Jamieson, what the hell? See Jamieson below.

Jamieson McKay Murray

Anyway, sorry for no shots of that, but it was funny. We had a bunch of loungers chillin’ on the side in Beagle. It seemed like everyone was squished into one side of the room there. That’s cool. Do what you gots ta do!

Then… On to the next one!

Garfinkels

There nothing as good as a finale as Garfinkels Nightclub. Like Woah…. I mean like WOAH! It’s amazing that we get to skip the cover charge, it’s amazing we hook you up with two tickets inside, it’s amazing that we just party like it’s 1999 every single Saturday night.

Our good man Blake was freaking out at the end of the night cause it was really difficult for him to move all the crawlers in such a way that we don’t have to wait in line for 30 minutes to get us all in. But he did it and we got in and the party continued. Some of you partied all night, while others called it a night after only 40 minutes in Garf’s. Some of you didn’t even make it to Garf’s. That’s cool though, that’s the way we like it! Thanks Blake, you’re the man!

Everyone had an awesome time on the crawl and it’s always so much fun to have everyone there. See you next time!

December 5th, 2009 Crawl – Cinnamon Bear (Hilton), Brewhouse, Beagle and Garfinkels

Woah, that was a lot of people. We had such a big crawl, we had to split it into 2 crawls so the first two venues could accommodate us, and we still sold out! That was one of our biggest crawls. We had two groups of sixty people each. With over 9 staff working to facilitate the mass amounts of people rolling from bar to pub to club to club.

The first group started at Cinnamon Bear in the Hilton Hotel, we had another starting point of Brewhouse Pub where another group of sixty people started. The two groups switched positions and then all met up at Savage Beagle where we jammed it up for an hour. Afterwards we managed to roll into Garfinkels and skip the line. It was an awesome night and everyone seemed to have a wicked time.

The games of limbo and dance offs were insanely good. We seemed to get a lot of praise from the crawlers.

If you have any thoughts, comments or criticisms, please leave a comment. See ya next time :)

American Thanksgiving and 110 Party People Clubbing – November 28, 2009

What another incredibly wild night. With a total of about 110 people on the crawl, we made it an interesting one. We filled up the first two venues to the point we actually had to split the crawl up. It was pretty wild. We had two groups and we all met together at the third venue, Tommy Africa’s at 8:50pm. Once the two crawls were together, it went absolutely bananas!

We had a dance off at Tommy’s. This time they’ve got a new… instrument in the club. That instrument was a stripper pole. Woah! You know the party gets crazy when there is a stripper pole. We had some interesting dances from the both the ladies and the gentlemen. Didn’t know that so many guys had pole dancing abilities. Hey, I’m not saying anything negative, I’m just saying.

Afterward we completely filled up Garfinkels. One of the most insane nights on the planet. Some of us on the crawl had a booth and we flossing and showing off. It’s always fun to do that once and a while. We will probably do it again next week. What a crazy night!

We have to send a shout out to the awesome staff at Brewhouse, Cinnamon Bear, Tommy Africa’s and Garfinkels.

Hope to see everyone next week!

If you were on the crawl, please leave a comment!
